I would like to go to Tignes should to take the bus or the train?
Answer:
There is a bus from the Grenoble Airport to Bourg St Maurice, near Tignes. This web site has more information and there is a schedule (link opens a pdf file). The costs is listed as 58€ for a single and 88€ for a return. I’m not sure how you get from Bourg St Maurice to Tignes, but I’m guessing there is a bus.
Train is also possible. But you would have to take the shuttle bus from the airport to Grenoble train station 4€. Then take a train from Grenoble to Bourg St Maurice, with a transfer in Chambery. Travel time about 3 hours. The cost is listed here as about 25€. You can either buy your tickets online or the day you travel. From Bourg St Maurice you would again need to find a bus to Tignes.
