How do you get to St Francois Longchamp by bus and train?
Answer:
If you are travelling on a Saturday there is a bus. It is 65€ return and the bus leaves at 15.30, 17.30 and 22.00. The St Francois Longchamp tourist office has a web site where it looks like you can reserve online. The site is in French.
It’s also possible to take the train. You would take the airport shuttle to the Grenoble train station. This page of the official airport web site has a schedule. Scroll down to ‘GRENOBLE DOWN TOWN REGULAR SHUTTLE SERVICE’. I have info on how to read the schedule.
Then you would need to take the train to Saint-Avre/La Chambre. St Francois Longchamp doesn’t have a train station. It’s then 12 kilometres to St Francois Longchamp. There is a bus. The cost is 8.50€ and reservations need to be made at the tourist office (not sure what one!) on 04.79.59.10.56. This web site has more info. Again it’s in French.
If for some reason you can’t take the bus, you can take a taxi. The cost from Saint-Avre/La Chambre to St Francois Longchamp is about 20€.
