Arrival on 03/02/07 no problem. Departure on 10/02/07 a nightmare! We were on a My Travel flight to Manchester which had landed on time. The check-in desks were not all open on arrival and were obviously staffed by part-time staff. We were called through to departure and found nowhere to eat or drink. The announcements to board were made and it was obvious that there were many people not in the departure lounge. We boarded at 08.30 and others drifted on the plane for the next 35 minutes - we were due to depart at 09.10. There was no action at until about 09.45 when we were told that there was 1 bag extra in the hold and all the bags would have to be unloaded and counted. This took about 1 hour and then we were told that there had been a mistake and the correct number of bags had not been loaded. The pilot in the meantime was livid saying he had not experienced anything like it in 15 years of flying. When the bags were reloaded we then had to wait for another flight slot and finally took off at 12.15 - 4 hours late all due to incompetence. The airport is clearly not geared up to the weekend charter traffic - look to flights to Geneva, Chamery or Lyon is my advice. Poor My Travel/Airtours had a whole day’s program disrupted.
